How Chartonix AI collects, uses, protects, and shares your personal data
Chartonix AI ("we", "us", "our", "Company") is an AI-powered educational chart analysis platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and process your personal data when you interact with our website, chat interface, chart analysis tools, APIs, and all related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you acknowledge and consent to the practices described herein.
This policy applies to all users of Chartonix AI consumer products. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the Services immediately.
We collect the following categories of personal data:
2.1 Identity & Account Data: When you register, we collect your full name, email address, date of birth, and password (stored using SHA-256 cryptographic hashing — we never store plaintext passwords). We may also generate internal identifiers for your account.
2.2 Inputs & Outputs: When you interact with our Services — including uploading chart images, sending chat messages, or using analysis tools — we process your inputs ("Inputs") and generate responses ("Outputs"). Chart images are processed temporarily through our AI systems for analysis and are not permanently stored on our servers after processing is complete.
2.3 Payment Information: When you purchase a subscription, payments are processed entirely by Razorpay (our third-party payment processor). We store your Razorpay order ID, payment ID, plan type, amount, and payment status for record-keeping. We never store your credit/debit card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or banking credentials.
2.4 Device & Technical Data: We automatically collect your IP address, browser type, device information, and session data when you access the Services. This data is used for security (single-device login enforcement), abuse prevention, and service improvement.
2.5 Usage & Analytics Data: We collect anonymized usage patterns such as daily upload counts, feature usage frequency, login timestamps, and activity logs. This data does not include the content of your charts or conversations.
2.6 Cookies & Local Storage: We use essential session cookies (session_token) for authentication and browser local storage for theme preferences and conversation history. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics trackers.
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
Chartonix AI uses third-party AI models (via API) to process your chart images and chat messages. Your Inputs are sent to these AI providers solely for generating Outputs (analysis results, educational responses). We do not use your Inputs or Outputs to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI models — neither our own nor third-party models.
All AI-generated Outputs are probabilistic in nature and may not always be accurate. You should not treat any Output as professional financial advice, investment recommendation, or factual truth. See our Terms of Service for full disclaimer.

Our Services are not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. Legal agreement governing your use of Chartonix AI
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding legal agreement between you ("User", "you", "your") and Chartonix AI ("Company", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of Chartonix AI — including the website, chat interface, chart analysis tools, simulation features, and all related services (collectively, "Services") — you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional guidelines or policies we publish.
If you do not agree with any provision of these Terms, you must immediately stop using the Services and delete your account.
Chartonix AI is an AI-powered educational platform that uses computer vision and large language models to help users learn and understand technical chart analysis concepts including price action, candlestick patterns, support/resistance, trendlines, Fibonacci retracement, and related topics.
3.1 Minimum Age: You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
3.2 Accurate Information: You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated. Accounts containing false or misleading information may be suspended or terminated without notice.
3.3 Account Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are liable for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
3.4 Single-Device Policy: For security purposes, Chartonix AI enforces single-device login. Logging in on a new device will automatically terminate active sessions on other devices.
3.5 Email Verification: Account activation requires OTP-based email verification. Unverified accounts may have restricted access to certain features.
4.1 Ownership of Inputs: You retain all rights to the content you upload or input into the Services ("Inputs"), including chart images, chat messages, and any other data you provide.
4.2 License to Process: By uploading content, you grant Chartonix AI a temporary, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process your Inputs solely for the purpose of providing analysis Outputs to you. This license terminates when processing is complete.
4.3 AI-Generated Outputs: Outputs generated by our AI systems are provided to you for personal educational use. Due to the probabilistic nature of AI, Outputs may contain inaccuracies, errors, or incomplete information. You are solely responsible for evaluating and using Outputs at your own risk.
4.4 Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring that your Inputs do not violate any applicable law, third-party rights, or these Terms. You must not misrepresent AI-generated Outputs as professional human analysis or financial advice.
5.1 Free Trial: New users receive a limited free trial of 3 chart analyses (lifetime). Free trial provides access to Chartonix Plus-level features only. After exhausting free charts, a paid subscription is required to continue.
5.2 Paid Plans:
All prices are exclusive of applicable GST/taxes. Daily chart limits reset at midnight and do not carry over. We reserve the right to modify pricing with at least 30 days' notice.
5.3 No Auto-Renewal: Subscription plans do not auto-renew. You must manually renew your plan upon expiry to continue accessing paid features.
6.1 Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through Razorpay. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for the applicable subscription fee.
6.2 Refund Policy: Subscription payments are non-refundable once activated, except: (a) where the Service was completely unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours due to our fault; (b) where required by applicable law. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of payment to support@chartonixai.com.
6.3 Cancellation: You may stop using the Services at any time. We do not prorate refunds for unused portions of a subscription period.
6.4 Price Changes: We may change prices from time to time. Price increases will take effect on your next renewal period. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price changes.

8.1 Our IP: All content, features, branding, design, source code, algorithms, AI models, user interfaces, and proprietary technology comprising Chartonix AI are the exclusive intellectual property of Chartonix AI and its creators, protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without express prior written permission.
8.2 Your IP: You retain ownership of all content you upload (chart images, messages). By uploading, you grant us only the limited license described in Section 4.2 above.
8.3 Feedback: If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you agree that we may use such feedback without restriction, attribution, or compensation to you.
8.4 Trademarks: "Chartonix AI", "Chartonix", and associated logos are our trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written consent.
We may offer referral codes and promotional discounts from time to time. These codes are subject to: (a) maximum usage limits; (b) expiration dates; (c) specific plan restrictions. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate any promotional offer at any time without prior notice. Abuse of referral or promo codes — including creating fake accounts, sharing codes on unauthorized platforms, or systematic exploitation — will result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of any discounts applied.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

11.1 Chartonix AI and its creators, officers, directors, employees, affiliates, and agents shall NOT be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunities, or financial losses arising from or related to your use of the Services — regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise), even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
11.2 Our total aggregate liability for any and all claims arising from the Services shall not exceed the total amount you have actually paid to us in the three (3) months immediately preceding the claim, or INR 5,000 (whichever is lower).
11.3 Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Chartonix AI and its creators, officers, directors, employees, affiliates, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; (d) any financial decisions or trading actions you take based on information obtained through the Services; (e) your Inputs or any content you upload to the Service.
13.1 By You: You may stop using the Services and request account deletion at any time by contacting support@chartonixai.com.
13.2 By Us: We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if: (a) you violate these Terms or our Usage Policy; (b) we are required to do so by law; (c) your use poses a risk or harm to us, our users, or third parties; (d) your account has been inactive for more than 12 months; (e) we discontinue the Service.
13.3 Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to access the Services ceases immediately. Any remaining subscription period will not be refunded except where required by law. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including Sections 10, 11, 12, and 15).
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, wars, terrorism, riots, government actions, power failures, internet outages, server failures, cyberattacks, third-party service provider outages, or any other force majeure event.
15.1 Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
15.2 Dispute Resolution: Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties for a period of 30 days. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
15.3 Waiver of Class Actions: To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
16.1 Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
16.2 Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Chartonix AI regarding the Services, superseding all prior agreements and understandings.
16.3 Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
16.4 Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights freely.
We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification, email, or by posting the updated Terms on this page. The "Effective" date at the top will always reflect the latest version. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with any changes, you must stop using the Services.
